Program and Registration Questions
Who should take this training?
The program is designed primarily for prospective and current California professional supervised visitation providers. It is also useful for program staff, family court professionals, social workers, mental health professionals, child welfare professionals, family law attorneys, and students who need a structured understanding of the provider’s role.
How long is the program?
The complete program is 24 instructional hours.
How is the 24-hour program divided?
The program includes 12 hours of live classroom instruction and 12 hours of guided self-paced coursework.
Is the program live, self-paced, or both?
It is a blended program. Participants complete both the scheduled live classroom portion and the assigned self-paced portion.
Is the live classroom in person or online?
The delivery format is identified for each cohort. A session may be offered in person or through an instructor-led virtual classroom. Participants must confirm the format and attendance expectations before registering.
What is required to complete the program?
Participants must attend the full live classroom instruction, complete all self-paced work, participate as directed, and successfully complete required activities or assessments by the stated deadlines.
Is a certificate provided?
Yes. Bridging Families Academy issues a certificate after all Academy completion requirements have been met.
Is the certificate a California license?
No. California does not issue an Academy license through this course. The certificate documents training completed with Bridging Families Academy and does not replace background checks, TrustLine requirements, declarations, local court requirements, or any other qualification applicable to professional providers.
Does completing the course guarantee work or placement on a court list?
No. Course completion does not guarantee employment, clients, court appointment, inclusion on a provider list, or acceptance by a particular court or agency.
What technology is needed?
For online components, participants need a reliable internet connection, a computer or tablet, current browser software, email access, and working camera, microphone, and audio. Participants should join from a private setting suitable for professional learning.
Must the registered participant attend personally?
Yes. Registration and course access are for the enrolled participant only. Identity and attendance may be verified during live instruction.
May the course be recorded or shared?
No. Participants may not record, photograph, copy, stream, distribute, or share live instruction or protected course materials without written authorization.
What happens if I miss part of the live training?
Full attendance is required for completion. Contact the Academy promptly. A missed segment may require attendance in a future session or another approved remedy, subject to availability and Academy policy.
Does the course provide legal advice?
No. The course provides professional education. Participants should consult qualified legal counsel regarding legal questions and must independently review current statutes, standards, court orders, and local requirements.
How do I register?
Use the registration request page or email training@bridgingfamilies.org. The Academy will confirm availability and provide written registration instructions.
How can an organization request group training?
Contact the Academy with the organization name, approximate number of participants, preferred timing, and training goals. Group options depend on instructor availability and program requirements.
