California requires 24 total training hours, including at least 12 hours of classroom instruction. The Academy program totals 24 hours: 12 hours of live instructor-led instruction and 12 hours of guided self-paced coursework.

Participants must complete the 12-hour self-paced component and submit all required completion certificates, assignments, and supporting documentation during check-in before the first live class starts. Incomplete or late documentation receives no credit for the self-paced component and the participant is not eligible for the final 24-hour Certificate of Completion for that cohort.
