Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Bridging Families Academy handles information submitted through the Academy website.

Effective date: July 17, 2026

Information You Choose to Provide

When you submit an inquiry or enrollment-interest form, the Academy may receive your name, email address, phone number, city and state, professional role, experience, training preferences, professional goals, accommodation request, and message.

How Information Is Used

The Academy uses submitted information to respond to inquiries, evaluate training interest, provide cohort information, administer enrollment, address accessibility requests, maintain business records, protect the website, and comply with applicable obligations.

Public Forms Are Not for Case Records

Do not submit court records, custody orders, children’s identifying information, medical information, allegations, case reports, payment-card information, Social Security numbers, or other confidential case material through public website forms.

Form Delivery and Security

Website forms are transmitted to Bridging Families Academy by the hosting server’s email function. Reasonable validation, spam controls, and input limits are used, but no internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Training Attendance Records

For Live Zoom cohorts, the Academy may maintain identity-verification records, instructor attendance logs, Zoom attendance reports, LMS activity records, roll-call results, timed check-ins, polls, knowledge checks, participation records, and records of technical interruptions.

Training Session Recordings

Live Zoom sessions or designated portions may be recorded for attendance verification, quality assurance, accessibility, or resolution of an attendance dispute. Participants receive advance notice, and the Academy follows any required consent procedure before recording.

Recording access is limited to authorized Academy personnel or service providers with a legitimate administrative need. Recordings are not publicly distributed, are not made available as course replays, and do not replace live attendance. Recordings are retained only for the period stated in the applicable cohort or recording notice and are then deleted or securely disposed of, subject to any legitimate legal or dispute-resolution need.

Retention and Disclosure

Inquiry and enrollment information may be retained for business, enrollment, communication, recordkeeping, dispute-resolution, and legal purposes. Information may be disclosed to service providers supporting website hosting or communications, or when required by law, court order, or legitimate safety and security needs.

External Websites

The Academy website links to California agencies, courts, TrustLine, social networks, and other external resources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
