Website Terms

Terms of Use

These terms govern use of the Bridging Families Academy website and educational materials made available through it.

Effective date: July 17, 2026

Educational Information, Not Legal Advice

Website content is general professional education and is not legal advice, a legal opinion, a court directive, or a substitute for reviewing current law, the operative court order, local court rules, agency policy, or advice from qualified counsel.

No Government Endorsement or Credential

Bridging Families Academy is not endorsed, approved, accredited, or certified by the Judicial Council of California or any superior court. An Academy certificate documents completion of Academy requirements and is not a state license, government certification, court appointment, or guarantee of professional eligibility.

Course Formats, Tuition, and Enrollment

The website may describe live in-classroom and live Zoom versions of the Academy program. Current tuition is $499 for either version unless a written cohort notice expressly states otherwise. Dates, capacity, venue or Zoom procedures, payment deadlines, refund terms, and enrollment status are governed by the written cohort notice and Enrollment and Attendance Policy.

Zoom-format limitation. The statewide law and Standard 5.20 do not expressly guarantee that synchronous Zoom instruction will be accepted as classroom instruction by every court, agency, employer, or provider list. Users must verify the requirements that apply to their intended professional activity.

Accuracy and Current Sources

The Academy seeks to use reliable sources, but laws, rules, forms, links, and court procedures may change. Users are responsible for confirming the current official source.

Intellectual Property and Recording

Academy course materials, presentations, exercises, written content, graphics, recordings, and instructional methods may be protected by copyright and other rights. Participants may not record, photograph, reproduce, stream, distribute, sell, publish, or share protected course content or participant information without written authorization.

Live Zoom sessions or designated portions may be recorded for attendance verification, quality assurance, accessibility, or resolution of an attendance dispute. Participants will receive advance notice, and the Academy will follow any required consent procedure. Academy recordings are restricted, are not distributed as course replays, do not replace live attendance, and are handled under the applicable cohort notice and Privacy Policy.

Appropriate Use

Users may not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, submit unlawful or deceptive information, impersonate another person, transmit malicious code, or use forms for spam or harassment.

External links are provided for convenience and reference. The Academy does not control external content, availability, security, or policies.

The Academy may revise these terms as the website, program, or applicable requirements change. Questions may be directed to training@bridgingfamilies.org.
