Virtual Classroom

Live Instructor-Led Virtual Classroom Training

$499

  • 16 hours of scheduled, synchronous instructor-led instruction
  • Currently delivered through Zoom or another Academy-approved video-conferencing platform
  • Not a prerecorded substitute for the live instructional component
  • Government-issued ID and an enrollment-matched display name may be required
  • Continuous camera-visible attendance, interaction, and participation verification

Guided Self-Paced Component

  • 12 hours completed before the first live session
  • Required state mandated-reporter training
  • Assigned readings, lessons, written work, and knowledge checks
  • LMS completion and assignment verification
  • All certificates and assignments submitted at check-in before live instruction starts

Course Delivery and Attendance Verification

The 16-hour live instructional component is delivered through scheduled, real-time, instructor-led virtual classroom sessions designed to parallel the Academy’s in-classroom learning environment. Students must remain clearly visible on camera, actively participate throughout each instructional period, complete attendance checks and learning activities, and have all instructional hours verified.

Attendance may be documented through instructor attendance records, platform attendance reports, LMS activity, entry and return-from-break roll calls, timed check-ins, polls, knowledge checks, and participation records. Sessions or designated portions may be recorded for attendance verification, quality assurance, accessibility, or resolution of an attendance dispute. Students receive advance notice, and the Academy follows any required consent procedure. Recordings do not replace live attendance.

Attendance and Camera Requirements

  • The registered participant must personally attend.
  • The camera must remain on and the participant’s face must remain clearly visible throughout instructional periods.
  • Camera exceptions are limited to scheduled breaks, an approved accommodation, or a brief instructor-authorized technical interruption.
  • Logging in without remaining visibly present does not establish attendance.
  • A private, distraction-free professional learning environment is required.
  • Missed, disconnected, camera-off, or otherwise unverifiable time may not be credited and must be resolved through an Academy-approved make-up or transfer process.
Self-paced check-in deadline:

Before the first virtual classroom session starts, participants must submit all required self-paced completion certificates and assignments during check-in. Incomplete or late documentation receives no credit for the self-paced component and prevents issuance of the final certificate for that cohort.
