Course Delivery and Attendance Verification
The 16-hour live instructional component is delivered through scheduled, real-time, instructor-led virtual classroom sessions designed to parallel the Academy’s in-classroom learning environment. Students must remain clearly visible on camera, actively participate throughout each instructional period, complete attendance checks and learning activities, and have all instructional hours verified.
Attendance may be documented through instructor attendance records, platform attendance reports, LMS activity, entry and return-from-break roll calls, timed check-ins, polls, knowledge checks, and participation records. Sessions or designated portions may be recorded for attendance verification, quality assurance, accessibility, or resolution of an attendance dispute. Students receive advance notice, and the Academy follows any required consent procedure. Recordings do not replace live attendance.
Local acceptance notice:California Family Code section 3200.5 and Standard 5.20 require at least 12 hours of classroom instruction but do not expressly state whether live instructor-led virtual classroom instruction is accepted in every jurisdiction. Students should confirm any specific training-format requirements with the local court, agency, employer, or provider referral list where they intend to provide services, seek employment, or request placement.
