Training Materials, Participation & Copyright Acknowledgment

Training materials and intellectual property

Unless a different owner is identified, Bridging Families Academy / Bridging Families LLC retains the copyright and other applicable rights in Academy-created training content, including online modules, live presentations, lesson text, instructor commentary, original graphics and process maps, exercises, scenarios, worksheets, quizzes, assessments, answer keys, rubrics, templates, and other instructional resources.

• Access is granted only to the enrolled participant for personal educational and professional-development use.
• Academy materials may not be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, sold, licensed, distributed, shared, transmitted, or provided to another person or organization without prior written authorization.
• Academy materials may not be used to develop or conduct another course, seminar, workshop, presentation, training program, or commercial educational product without prior written authorization.
• Participants may not photograph, screenshot, screen-record, audio-record, video-record, transcribe, livestream, or use automated meeting/transcription tools to capture restricted Academy course content unless the Academy expressly authorizes that use in writing.
• Participant accounts, passwords, virtual-classroom links, assessments, assessment questions, answers, and restricted portal content may not be shared.

Third-party and government materials

Materials identified as originating from California Courts, the Judicial Council of California, the California Department of Social Services, another governmental entity, or another third party remain subject to the ownership, copyright, licensing, and use terms of their respective owners. Enrollment in the Academy does not grant permission to reproduce third-party materials merely because they are referenced, linked, or discussed during instruction.

Participation, attendance, and course integrity

Participants agree to personally complete the work submitted under their account and to participate honestly in attendance verification and assessment activities. Successful completion requires all Academy requirements applicable to the cohort, including the full guided self-paced component, all verified live instructional hours, required assignments and documentation, the final assessment with a score of at least 80 percent, any required remediation, and final administrative review.

• Credentials and course access are personal and nontransferable.
• Impersonation, account sharing, falsified attendance, falsified completion evidence, unauthorized assistance on an assessment, or distribution of assessment content may invalidate the affected work or evidence.
• Participants must maintain professional conduct and protect confidential or identifying information discussed in training scenarios.
• Live virtual participants must comply with the Academy’s identity, camera-visibility, participation, and attendance-verification requirements, subject to approved accommodations or instructor-authorized technical exceptions.

Live-class reaffirmation

Before receiving live-class credit, an enrolled participant must electronically reaffirm the Academy’s no-recording, personal-attendance, portal-security, and course-integrity rules through the Training Portal. The Academy maintains that reaffirmation as part of the participant’s training record.

Potential consequences of a violation

The Academy will consider the nature, timing, seriousness, and effect of an alleged violation. Depending on the circumstances, a violation may result in one or more proportionate actions, including:

• a warning, corrective instruction, or required remediation;
• suspension or termination of Training Portal or course-material access;
• removal from a live training session when continued participation would compromise safety, course integrity, confidentiality, or the rights of others;
• invalidation of an assignment, assessment attempt, attendance record, or completion evidence that was compromised by cheating, impersonation, falsification, account sharing, or other integrity violations;
• withholding of a Certificate of Completion when the participant has not validly satisfied the Academy’s completion requirements;
• denial of future enrollment for serious or repeated violations; and
• requests to remove or stop unauthorized use of Academy materials and pursuit of contractual, copyright, or other remedies available under applicable law when appropriate.

Course alignment and local-court acceptance

I understand that the curriculum is designed to align with California Family Code section 3200.5 and Standard 5.20. Completion of Academy training does not constitute Judicial Council approval, court approval, state licensure, or a guarantee of acceptance by any particular superior court, agency, employer, or provider referral list. Participants are responsible for checking applicable local requirements before enrolling and before relying on the training for professional-provider eligibility.

Electronic acknowledgment

Enrollment applicants are required to affirm that they have read and agree to this acknowledgment. Enrolled students must accept the current version electronically in the Training Portal using their authenticated account and typed legal name. The portal may retain the agreement version, participant name and email, acceptance date and time, and limited technical audit information such as network address and browser/user-agent information to document the acceptance.
